Improve and Optimize Intel HD Graphics Performance In all The Ways - HOW TO

Hello EveryOne...!

In This Post, I am Gonna Show You, How To Optimize and Increase the Performance in all The Possible Ways..

I am Running Intel Core i7 x64 with 8 Gigs of RAM (1600Mhz Dual Channel) Laptop along with nVIDIA GTX680M..Most of the Time I disable my nVIDIA GPU to Reduce the Heat..My Friends Struggles to Play with their Default HD Graphics GPU and They asked me to Give them the tweaks which would Increase the Performance..Now I am Sharing those Tweaks here..

*This is only For 64bit Core iX processors with Intel HD Graphics XXXX*

We Know That, All the 32 bit Programs Supports till 4GB of RAM to Utilize...When it comes to Integrated GPU like Intel's or AMD's it will share The Memory from RAM Slot DIMM-1 alone...Your OS eats 1GB out of your 4GB so Totally 1+1.5=2.5GB goes by the GPU and OS itself (for 4GB System)

Remaining 1.4 GB is only Available to Your Program or for Your Game..(this not Matters if Your Game is 64Bit)..and the 32bit Programs Only Accepts Memory from RAM Slot 1 if that has 4GB stick is Inserted, and Simply it Ignores 2nd Stick even if You have another 4GB..

So You need to Decrease the Memory load on RAM -1 i.e, You Have to Free the Memory

If You ask How to Do that...? then Read the Steps Carefully

STEP #1: Make Sure You have installed the Updated Driver of Intel HD XXXX..You can Get the Drivers from Your OEMs or From Intel Drivers Download page..I Recommending you to Download from here which is Intel's

STEP #2: You need to Tweak your Windows to allocate 3GB of Available Memory to Your Current ForeGround Program..So for that..Press WindowsKey+R or Launch Run Type regedit.exe

-->Navigate Through HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\SubSystems

-->Right Click Windows entry and Modify

-->You will get this String like this

"%SystemRoot%\system32\csrss.exe ObjectDirectory=\Windows SharedSection=1024,20480,768 Windows=On SubSystemType=Windows ServerDll=basesrv,1 ServerDll=winsrv:UserServerDllInitialization,3 ServerDll=sxssrv,4 ProfileControl=Off MaxRequestThreads=16"

-->See the Bold 20480 Numbers That indicates 2GB... change to 30720

So Now the Modified String will be like this

%SystemRoot%\system32\csrss.exe ObjectDirectory=\Windows SharedSection=1024,30720,768 Windows=On SubSystemType=Windows ServerDll=basesrv,1 ServerDll=winsrv:UserServerDllInitialization,3 ServerDll=sxssrv,4 ProfileControl=Off MaxRequestThreads=16

-->Now You have to make Your VMemory to Cache More Data..

STEP #3: Goto Computer->System Properties->Advanced System Settings->Advanced->under Perfomance select Settings -> Advanced-> under Virtual Memory change

-->See the Screenshot..Windows Shows Recommended 4574MB for Me.. Multiply that as Twice

-->Set the windows Recommended as Initial Size MB and Set the 2xRecommended as Maximum Size MB

Click Set , OK and Reboot...!

*Desktop Users Ignore this STEP 4 Where Laptop Users have seperate Battery Source to Prevent any Disk Cases*

STEP #4: You Have to Increase The Disk's Performance,For that Goto Computer->Manage->Device manager-> Disk Drives

-->Select your HDD and RightClick and select Properties

-->Click Policies Tick Turn Off Windows write-cache buffer flushing on the device to improve / Decrease Response Time

STEP #5: Disable Hibernate System Service to Increase Resources Available..Download this Zip File and Run the Batch File and Disable it..

STEP #6: Download this 4GB RAM Patcher to Enlarge Your 32 Bit Game to Have Large Address space so that it will support upto 4GB of VRAM to Utilize

-->Run the simple Program and Select your 32 bit Game .exe File and Click ok..Now Your Game is Patched to support upto 4GB VRAM

STEP #7: Always Defrag the Disk immediately when You installed a New game...This will Help alot..I Recommend you to Go with Auslogics Disk Defrag which is Free , Fast and Efficient Software You can Download from here

STEP #8: Remember * Before Playing any Game..Click the Battery icon on the TaskBar and select High Performance Profile ( keep a Cooler for Your Laptop Other wise it will Heat alot and Your Game will start to Lag when it reaches ~89'C )

STEP #9: Disable Windows Defender because it Eats a lot of Memory and Scans always thus it Reduces Your HDD's Performance for Your Game and Acquires lot of Threads for its Execution..This is Because all may have the Separate Anti-Virus Software this is an Additional Memory Eating Junk

-->To Disable that, Start->Search windows defender->Settings->Real time Protection

-->Untick Turn on Real-time Protection

-->and in Administrator

-->Untick Turn on this App

-->Save Changes

STEP #10: Final Reboot & See some Improvements, Few FPS Gains.. Happy Gaming
